Free To Play Series: Crossfire

Crossfire. When this game was an open beta, it was so damn popular that it is now considered a WCG event. So you know I had to look into it! I downloaded it, played it, got pwned and I saw why it was so popular. Now, it doesn't have the graphics like Combat Arms and A.V.A. Online, but the gameplay more than makes up for it. Consider it a really good re-hash of Counterstrike. It has the same main idea here, deathmatch, search and destroy, elimination and unique modes like ghost mode. Only about seven guns are rented and the rest are to keep, which is a big thing for me. The only thing that will keep this game from getting a perfect score is hackers. But guess what, there is no hackers, well not a lot like there used to be in beta stage. So this game gets a 10/10. The best free to play shooter out there right now!

Free To Play Series: Wolfteam

I love free stuff. Free food, free tech, and especially free games. I have played just about every F2P game out there... Well... Just mainly the shooters. One that caught my eye was Wolfteam. Wolfteam, available at aeriagames.com, is a futuristic MMOFPS(Massively Multiplayer Online First-person Shooter) with a twist. If you couldn't tell by the title, you are able to transform into a warewolf. There are different types of wolves, all with special attacks, and there is also a warehouse-load of weapons. Weapons range from classic WW2 armaments, to newer, upgraded weapons. Packed with cool game modes like Deathmatch and Conquest, werewolves, guns-a-plenty and a cool create-a-class lookalike, I give this game a 9/10. Solid. I'm constantly up there as Blackli5t. MadWorld Review

Okay... I know this game is not a recent one, but I don't have a chance to get the latest. You know, Gamefly barely has ant copies of New Super Mario Bros. Wii? Crazy. But anyway, finally there's a game where husbands can beat on someone other than their wives, MADWORLD!!! At first glance you will notice the black-and-white, graphic novel, Sin City art style, love it or hate it. When you dive deeper into the actual gameply, you notice how violent the game is! The thing that got me to rent this from Gamefly was the creativity of the kills. You can do things like putting a tire around a guy, impaling him with a street sign, and throwing him into a spike wall(the Rosebush as they call it in the game). The story involves a bounty hunter named Jack uncovering the mystery behind the motives of a terrorist group known as the Organizers. To do this, he must participate in a game called," Deathwatch," or as I like to call it,"Gladiators on crack!" Top it off with funny, but repetitive commentators, and you got a crimson-colored thrill ride!!! So the final score will be an 8.5/10 because as the gameplay is awesome, it can all get repetitive. And your mother wouldn't like it...

Violence In Video Games

The other day, when my mom and I were waiting for our food at Wendy's, we got in a conversation about violence in games. This came up alot since my playing of Madworld all week. Personally, I think that violent games are not bad at all, especially since I've been playing M-rated games since 6 years old. But, of course, my mom thinks differently. She says that violent games are not good for kids, or society. This topic has been a hot one ever since the first Mortal Kombat was released. But the conversation went on in a heated way. Me saying," Violence in games is not bad!" and she saying the opposite. Long story short, I won. Think about it, some of the best games out there are pretty damn violent! GTA IV has drugs, rape, and a cornicopia of vehicular manslaughter. Halo has blood, blood, and racist 12 year olds online. Modern Warfare 2 has a terrorism level in it. So face it, the best games are violent games. Thanks for reading...
